- Legal Entity: Hyperconnect
- Brand: Match Group

About the Role

We’re looking for a collaborative Trust & Safety professional to advise Match Group’s product and engineering teams as they develop new features and services. This role will focus on platforms run by Match Group’s brands Hyperconnect and Eureka, which operate the popular apps Azar and Pairs, respectively. Responsibilities of this role include partnering with stakeholders across product, engineering, content moderation, legal, privacy, data science, and more; and will focus on analyzing new features and writing thoughtful risk assessments to secure safe and trustworthy outcomes which center our users.

You won’t be coding, but you’ll need to be able to communicate effectively with product teams and engineers and have a high-level understanding of technical concepts. You’ll help teams understand regulatory requirements, and advocate for features that advance user safety without compromising product usability. You’ll also use an analytical approach to spot areas where any of Match Group’s brands are excelling on safety, and champion adoption of those practices at other brands.

This is a cross-functional role that requires clarity in writing, rigor in reasoning, and pragmatism in navigating ambiguity. You should be energized by tough product trade-offs, grounded in the realities of enforcement at scale, and thoughtful about how to design for safety in a way that is proportionate, user-respecting, and aligned with industry best practices.

What You’ll Do
  • Review product briefs for new features or services and compose risk assessments in order to advise product teams on safety risks
  • Act as a thought partner to product and engineering teams to develop win-win safety solutions
  • Influence peer teams, without authority, in order to secure positive outcomes for our users’ safety and trust
  • “Red team” (engage in adversarial testing of) new products to identify safety gaps and areas for improvement
  • Present to peer teams or externally on an as-needed basis
  • Serve as a cross-functional facilitator among product, legal, privacy, security, content moderation, data science, and more to align on safety system design
  • Analyze safety features across Match Group’s brands in order to improve the approach across the portfolio
  • Maintain a product launch calendar and documentation knowledge hub for products and features within your area of responsibility
  • Monitor evolving safety trends and industry best practices

  • What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, product policy, or regulatory compliance, ideally with product-facing exposure
  • Bilingual Korean/English. Any knowledge of Japanese, a plus
  • Deep understanding of online harm types and interventions, especially user controls
  • Technical fluency—you’re comfortable understanding technical concepts at a high level and translating those for non-technical teams
  • High level of empathy for others’ roles - be able to put yourself in the shoes of a user, of a product manager trying to launch a product on time, and of a content moderator
  • Positive attitude, willing to pitch in wherever necessary
  • Excellent writing and reasoning skills; you produce clear, structured thinking in docs, even on complex topics
  • Comfort with ambiguity and challenging trade-offs
  • Familiarity with major global safety regulations affecting Trust & Safety
  • Please mention No Whiteboard if you apply!
