About the Team:

The Corporate Engineering team is responsible for all aspects of our business user experience. We partner with technical and non-technical teams to gather business requirements, recommend solutions and mature our organizational processes.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of technologies that support a cloud-first infrastructure. As a Staff Corporate Engineer at Quizlet, you will drive automation across the employee lifecycle while ensuring IT systems run smoothly through daily monitoring, support, and issue resolution. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges, document system design and troubleshooting procedures, and partner with business leaders to evaluate and improve processes where needed.

We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe that this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.
In this role, you will:
  • Architect, supervise, and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex “cloud-first” infrastructure
  • Build and manage automation for the employee lifecycle
  • Provides support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all IT systems
  • Work with multiple teams on cross-functional projects to address technical challenges
  • Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures
  • Analyze existing processes, work with business leaders to suggest and make improvements, and implement business processes where needed
  • What you bring to the table:
  • 8 years of relevant experience in corporate systems
  • Experience in building and managing identity and access management tools and integrating them to critical SaaS tools including, but not limited to, Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, Github, Office 365, Atlassian Cloud, etc.
  • Experience working with identity access management technologies and platforms (SAML, OIDC, LDAP, Okta, SailPoint, Azure Active Directory, etc.)
  • Experience working with MDM solutions
  • Operational knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN technologies
  • Strong experience with macOS, Linux, Windows, AndroidOS, iOS, and Android devices
  • Bonus points if you have:
  • Scripting experience using Bash, Python, and equivalent tools
  • Experience consuming REST APIs for SaaS automation
  • Experience working within security compliance frameworks (SOC 2, PCI)
  • System design experience, ideally in a cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
