The EMC team is in charge of electromagnetic compliance design and validation processing for hardware products. We conduct EMC design and simulation on the entire product design phases, such as PCB, components and mechanical design, as well as coordinating EMC validation test and troubleshooting, to ensure minimum electromagnetic interference in hardware systems.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead EMC validation in advanced autonomous driving hardware systems, sensors and harnesses.
  • Review Electrical and Mechanical designs for compliance with Automotive EMC standards.
  • Conduct early stage EMC assessments to identify potential risks.
  • Perform EMC compliance tests, review the results and communicate findings with the team and vendors.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the EMC compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Circuit and Full-wave simulation for EMC/EMI analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering + 8 years of industry experience in electrical system or automotive vehicle
  • Deep understanding of EMC principles, Automotive EMC standards(CISPR25, ISO11452/7637/10605) and testing protocols
  • Experience with EMC simulation tools( e.g. Ansys HFSS or CST) and PCB design software
  • Hands on experience with EMC test equipment and test setups
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with automotive hardware development
  • Good communication skills and, self motivated and strong team player
  • EMC simulation experience

The base salary range for this position is $181,000 - $290,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
