TL:DR Aura is a beautifully designed WiFi picture frame and photo-sharing platform with a global team of 70+. We’re looking for a hands-on, data-driven performance marketer who will drive the growth of our audio paid media channels. This role reports to the Director of Customer Acquisition and will play an integral role in continuing to shape our podcast and radio advertising business, supporting aggressive customer acquisition goals.

 

Role Description

We’re looking for a podcast obsessed marketer who will partner with our existing team to drive forward the strategy, goals, and objectives for Aura’s audio paid media efforts. You’ll use your performance marketing expertise to cultivate, execute and analyze large-scale programs, working with a multi-million dollar budget. Our goal is to continue profitably scaling our audio program, domestically and internationally, so ideally you are an audio expert from a company that has taken podcast to a significant portion of their overall media mix. You should have a proven record of identifying key shows, and maintaining relationships with the networks. With that comes an in-the-know mindset and a strong pulse on industry news and trends.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Partner with our in-house partnerships team on Aura’s successful paid audio program.
  • Partner closely with the Director, Customer Acquisition to set channel level goals, and develop and execute a two-year roadmap.
  • Work in tandem with the team to reach CPA goals, profitability, and other strategic benchmarks. 
  • Establish channel-level forecast that ladders up to the budget and goals
  • Channels you’ll oversee include: podcast, YouTube and radio (domestic and international)
  • Make strategic recommendations on everything ranging from budget to campaign structure to creative
  • Devising and execute an ongoing testing and experimenting strategy to ensure we are always learning and optimizing
  • Maintain and deliver detailed weekly and monthly performance reporting including data-driven insights and actionable next steps

 

Key Qualifications

  • 5 - 6 years of performance marketing experience in a consumer retail environment. DTC is a big plus
  • Previous in-house audio buying experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge and proven expertise within audio and radio channels, with a focus on CPA/ROAS efficiency, experience with other channels beneficial
  • Experience building a strategy for and executing international campaigns, particularly in Europe, is a big plus
  • Hands-on platform expertise with Spotify ad analytics, Magellan, Podscribe or other pixel-based tracking
  • Deep understanding of pricing within both dynamic and episodic buys, and strong negotiating experience
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; expert Excel knowledge
  • Experience with channel-level forecasting
  • Proactive self-starter who is comfortable working independently and cross-functionally
  • Insights-driven and bias toward action; take data and turn it into actionable next steps
  • Demonstrated comfort working in a startup or similar fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, grace under pressure, and ability to flex to different objectives
