Position Summary:

Platform.sh is seeking a talented Cloud Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this key role, you will use your programming skills, along with your strong knowledge of Linux systems, to help develop robust, distributed systems.

What to expect:

• Develop and maintain critical cloud infrastructure components.
• Streamline application updates and development environment setups.
• Manage and optimize containerized applications across multiple cloud platforms.
• Continuously enhance system performance and efficiency.
• Work within a cost-effective observability framework.
• Provide support for applications developed in various programming languages.
• Explore and implement improvements in areas such as auto-healing, performance optimization, and feature enhancements.

What you bring:

• Solid foundation in Software Engineering with proficiency in Python or Go.
• Strong experience with containerization technologies.
• Deep understanding of low-level systems.
• Proven ability to manage cloud-based infrastructure across multiple IaaS providers.
• Familiarity with database and distributed systems.
• Background in networking.

Nice to have:

• Strong knowledge of Git.
• Understanding of security and cryptography.
• Experience with additional programming languages such as C/C++.
• Knowledge of kernel-based Virtual Machines.
• Familiarity with web technologies.
