What You'll Do Here

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience in front-end development, with at least 3 years specializing in ReactJS and React Native. As a Senior Frontend Engineer at HomeLight, you will be pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining our web and mobile applications, ensuring they are user-friendly, performant, and visually appealing.

  • Lead the design and development of responsive, scalable, and maintainable frontend solutions for web and mobile applications using ReactJS and React Native.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Identify and implement performance improvements to enhance the user experience of our web and mobile applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, advocating for the adoption of new tools and practices that can improve our development process and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ReactJS and React Native, with a strong understanding of their ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of user interface design principles and best practices, with an eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, Enzyme, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus points for

  • Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX.
  • Strong experience integrating with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile development best practices and experience with mobile app deployment processes (iOS and Android).
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools for web and mobile applications.

The following compensation information is provided to comply with job posting disclosure requirements in Colorado, New York, Washington, and California.
Base Pay Range: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00, base pay will vary depending on several factors, such as the position, location, qualifications of the individual, market conditions, and other operational business requirements.
