What You’ll Do Here

  • Be a collaborative team player, learning from and contributing to your peers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and efficient services aimed at increasing operational efficiency.
  • Identify areas for improvement in current codebases and solutions, continuously enhancing them through refactoring, unit testing, system testing, and automating deployment and operations.
  • Provide constructive feedback on code developed by fellow engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices such as style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of business requirements, working closely with stakeholders, including external partners like loan officers and real estate agents, to address their needs effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, platform, DevOps, data, product, and analytics, to consider broader implications of design decisions beyond technical aspects.
  • Make informed engineering and product decisions through data analysis and collaboration, focusing on empowering operations and enhancing efficiency across the organization.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of professional experience working as an engineer.
  • 3+ years of experience with ReactJS
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails 
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining service-oriented architecture.
  • Strong experience with relational and non-relational database technologies
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous and complex project requirements
  • Demonstrates proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring systems (NewRelic, Cloudwatch, Sentry)

Bonus points for

  • Experience with ReactNative is a plus
  • Exposure with ElasticSearch
  • Experience working with docker
  • Experience working on a small team, ideally at a startup.
  • Familiarity with the Amazon AWS ecosystem

The following compensation information is provided to comply with job posting disclosure requirements in Colorado, New York, Washington, and California.
Base Pay Range: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00, base pay will vary depending on several factors, such as the position, location, qualifications of the individual, market conditions, and other operational business requirements.
