Quantum-Si is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to join the Reagent Development team.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Develop and execute protein and bioconjugate production (shake flask scale) methods, processes, and documentation
- Responsible for technology transfer for assigned projects to internal and /or external manufacturing sites.
- Support development of reagent manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues as an upstream SME
- Verify reagent kit components meet design requirements.
- Author SOPs, BOMs, WIs and other documents for manufacturing technology transfer.
- Execute experiments, analyze data and generate reports as required.
Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- Bachelor, Master’s, or PhD degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or other related field.
- 3-8 years (depending on degree) industry experience is required.
- Hands on experience with bacterial protein expression systems, particularly in a production environment
- Hands-on experience with protein purification (HPLC, FPLC, SEC, IEX, IMAC, etc.) using the AKTA and Agilent HPLC systems is required.
- Experience with Tech Transfer activity to Operations/Manufacturing or working with external CMOs is required.
- Hands-on experience in protein expression, purification and characterization using various analytical techniques, including Nanodrop, SDS-PAGE, nanoDSF, Octet, LC/MS and plate-based assays is required.
- Hands-on experience with standard bioconjugation chemistries to link biomolecules such as proteins, oligos, peptides and other tags is preferred.
- Experience writing SOPs, WIs/BRs, NCMRs, BOMs.
- Demonstrate ability to follow instructions, pay attention to details, be data-driven, and think strategically to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and prioritize work accordingly.
Ideally, you also have these skills/experiences/attributes (but it’s ok if you don’t!):
- Hands on LC-MS experience would be a huge a plus.
The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $95,000 - $130,000 (Bachelor or Master with relevant experience) and $125,000 - $150,000 (PhD with relevant experience) . Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
