As an AI architect specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) focusing on Generative AI, the primary purpose of this role is to design and implement cutting-edge AI solutions in the GCP ecosystem. This role involves empathizing with customers and then developing solutions that address their demands. This role will develop and oversee AI strategies that leverage GenAI capabilities, ensuring they align with business objectives and technological advancements. The AI Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions, provide technical leadership in AI project execution, and drive innovation in AI applications.

What Things Will You Do As A Nerd?

  • Design and develop AI strategies that effectively leverage General AI (GenAI) and Machine Learning (ML)  capabilities within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment to meet business objectives.
  • Architect and design scalable, robust, and efficient AI systems, ensuring optimal integration with existing GCP services and infrastructure.
  • Lead AI projects, guiding cross-functional teams through the planning, execution, and deployment stages, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Continuously explore and research emerging trends and advancements in GenAI, ML, and GCP, identifying opportunities for innovative applications and improvements.
  • Design and execute client workshops to gather AI requirements
  •  Workshop with the client to  document the scope, create a work plan, and estimate the delivery for contracting. 
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and development in AI technologies.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and external partners, to ensure successful implementation and integration of AI solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI implementations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
  • Design and implement AIOps solutions in GCP by moving models to production. 
  • Work with stakeholders, including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams, to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Update the project manager, Google partner, and client on status, risks, and opportunities through the delivery of an engagement.

What Skills Will Help You Be A Successful Nerd?

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in a computer related field, coding bootcamp certificate, or a thorough demonstration of self-taught software development skills
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on Google Cloud Platform with services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI technologies building, deploying, and measuring accuracy of models
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and experience with AI and ML libraries and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of vector databases and prompt engineering principles (i.e. Langchain)
  • Experience developing applications or processes that integrate with multiple of the major models (e.g. ChatGPT, Bard, llama, Flan, Bloom, etc.) 
  • Deep understanding of GenAI principles, algorithms, and applications. Proficiency in machine learning techniques, neural networks, and deep learning.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
  • Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools and practices, such as Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions.
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform tools and services, especially those related to AI and ML, such as AI Platform, TensorFlow, and BigQuery.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience building analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other critical business performance metrics.
  • Ability to take technical requirements and produce functional code
  • Experience with Git and specified technologies.
  • Proven experience with prompt engineering
