The Growth and Digital Solutions Manager will be expected to develop new business, expand and manage a qualified pipeline, nurture and maintain client relationships, and champion Truss capabilities with customers and industry partners. This is a unique opportunity to join a relatively new, high-impact team, within a collaborative and dynamic environment at Truss.

The ideal candidate has prior experience working in the Federal Civilian market and will define and execute overall business development at Truss. Working with a cross-functional team to drive strategy and marketing, the Growth and Digital Solutions Manager will be responsible for leading efforts to win new clients using various procurement vehicles, direct sales, lead generation, and request response while collaborating with technical, operational, and financial colleagues during the proposal process.

The Growth and Digital Solutions Manager will be expected to foster fruitful partnerships with subject matter experts across the company to support capture and deal momentum with the goal of getting to award on qualified opportunities.

This is a fully remote opportunity with occasional travel between 30-50% and reports to the Director of Government Sales. DC Metro area residents preferred or proximity to major hub with direct flight access. #LI-Remote

The Growth and Digital Solutions Manager will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes in three key areas:
1. Core company revenue-generating opportunities are developed, managed, and maintained
  • Perform full life-cycle business development and build a predictable, sustainable and repeatable revenue funnel 
  • Develop comprehensive accounts and detailed outreach plans programmatically built for targeted Departments/Agencies and existing clients
  • Manage new business, maintain relationship, renewals, and an efficient capture process
  • Build the Truss portfolio of mission-aligned IT digital transformation work to modernize government services
  • 2. A sustainable growth strategy that aligns with organizational values is created
  • Evaluate strategic positioning: including competitive analysis, client outreach, partner identification, and price/bid to win strategies 
  • Conduct market analysis to proactively identify, pursue, and win opportunities
  • Build customer-focused win strategies, tactics, and action plans 
  • Create a winning environment, by developing processes that keep team focused with clearly communicated schedules, and milestones
  • 3. Work cross-functionally across the organization to win contracts
  • Defines clear goals, performance indicators, and regular cadence of reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop a consistent and reliable method of communication, reporting, and cross-functional engagement across all departments including operations and delivery team
  • Build a common vision with the internal team, customer, and teaming partners
  • Works shoulder to shoulder with Growth Architect and Proposal Manager to produce winning responses
  • SKILL SET:
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in consultative sales roles, for the Federal Government and or state/local public sectors, selling into senior leadership in the federal government
  • Experience in the Government IT infrastructure, security, user experience, design and modernization space/industry, procurement processes, and contracting of the US Federal Government
  • Successful track record engaging Government Program Offices, CTI, CIO and or upper level decision makers and influencers within technology offices
  • Must have Government proposal experience (requirements, timelines, expectations, etc.) and general knowledge of terminology/acronyms/ and application of NAICS and FAR and understanding of technical contracts
  • Highly developed presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Innate drive for learning and ability to figure out new approaches, be flexible and learn potential use cases for our product offerings within the ever changing government landscape
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Able to incorporate feedback and energized by collaboration 
  • High level of organization, time management, self-initiative and experience managing a multi-level sales territory (Federal/State) 
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment utilizing Slack, Zoom, and Gsuite tools for effective collaboration and communication
  • Nice to Have: Experience/relationships with 1 or more of the following: CDC, CMS, DHA, DHS, DOJ, GSA, IRS, NIH, OPM, SSA, USDA, VA and other Government agencies including State level
  • Eligibility:
    You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and may be required to pass a federal background check at the discretion of the client/project you are placed on.
