[Manager, Consumer Research Job Description (APAC, HPCNT)]
Match Group, the market leader in the dynamic and evolving dating & social discovery category, offers opportunities in the Strategy & Research department’s consumer research team. We seek a bright and motivated individual who can think strategically and execute various projects throughout their lifecycle. Located in Korea (Seoul) and working operationally within the Match Group APAC team, you will work closely with other research team members to design, develop, and deploy key research projects across brands.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Help lead consumer research studies for one of Match Group’s brands, mainly for Hyperconnect (Azar and Hakuna).
- Must be able to design, structure, and manage quantitative and qualitative research.
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate business questions into a study design to help them solve the problem.
- You’ll be responsible for defining business objectives, designing research projects, and delivering actionable recommendations.
- Participate in short-term and long-term strategic planning for consumer research initiatives across businesses.
- As part of the global Consumer Research practice, you will work closely with the Research teams in Match Group in Japan, Singapore, the US, and Europe.
Details you’ll be expected to work on:
* The flow of the projects will include (but are not limited to):
- Listening to the stakeholders’ business needs, Setting up processes and methodologies, Managing vendors, Monitoring the fieldwork, Analyzing the data (incl. tabulations), Synthesizing research findings into key insights and recommendations, and Presenting to stakeholders at various levels.
- You will also need to work with each brand’s legal and finance team (for paperwork, monitoring the budgets, etc.)
* Types of projects you will lead include (but are not limited to):
- Category understanding, Target exploration, Tracking studies (incl. Campaign Pre/Post), Communication concept testing, Product concept testing, User understanding, Usability tests, etc.
* Types of methodologies you will conduct include (but are not limited to):
- Online survey, Online/offline In-depth, Online/offline focus groups, Online community/discussion board, Social listening, Desk research and curation, etc.
- Multi-country, domestic, out-bound, in-bound
