As an engineering manager in our B2C business, you will manage a team of mobile engineers in shipping applications and features underpinning the overall experience for our members. We hire passionate, creative people and give them the autonomy to do great work. We empower all engineers to design, build, and maintain systems necessary to continue our rapid growth. Your impact:

  • Manage a team of mobile engineers delivering delightful experiences for our members
  • Foster strong relationships with our Product and Design teammates
  • With Product and Design, build roadmaps delivering our highest value opportunities
  • Prioritize and drive daily operations across a team based on composition and capacity
  • Unblock engineers enabling them to make progress on their goals
  • Manage performance of direct reports in line with the rest of the engineering organization
  • Provide growth opportunities and a path forward for reports to achieve their goals
  • Researches new technologies to stay abreast of industry trends and standards

 

What you need for this role:

  • 5+ years of experience doing mobile development in a hands-on capacity
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team to meet and beat objectives 
  • Experience with APIs supporting mobile applications delivering rich user experiences
  • Expertise with SDLC processes and frameworks
  • Expertise building modern web applications at a large scale
  • Experience capacity planning against a team’s composition
  • Comfortable having conversations, difficult or otherwise, with reports and other partners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (verbal and written)

California, New York State and Washington State Base Compensation Ranges: $166,400 - $208,000*, Colorado Base Compensation Ranges: $149,760 - $187,200*. Other states may vary.

This role is also eligible for participation in annual cash bonus and equity grants. 

*The actual offer, including the compensation package, is determined based on multiple factors, such as the candidate's skills and experience, and other business considerations.
