Job Title:  Manager, Web Engineering

At Salesloft, our Manager, Web Engineering is pivotal to our company’s success. You will be a key member of our fast-growing and high-performing digital team. You will partner with other software engineers in the company to lead and drive continuous process improvements and innovation as well as establish trust across the org with Product Managers, Creative, PMM, and Demand Generation.

As a Manager, Web Engineering, you will help engineers to develop their career plans and assign project work tailored to their skill set while also working on the code required to create engaging, scalable digital experiences on our web properties.  WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are seeking a technical manager who exemplifies our core values while empowering team members to do their best while holding them to a higher standard of growth, accomplishment, and results. We are looking for someone to bring industry standards and best practices to a web engineering team in order to increase their efficiency and engagement.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for guiding the workload of software engineers, while providing technical direction, mentoring, and coaching. You’ll also be responsible for writing scalable, extensible code to redefine our web presence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Ensure the website is consistent with company digital strategies, legal requirements and GDPR
  • Work with a cross-functional team (Marketing, Product Development, Security, etc) to gather requirements, content, designs and produce best-in-class web experiences.
  • Collaborate with the creative team for layout and wire framing of new pages (as needed) and deliver enhanced, optimized templates
  • Analyze and leverage data-driven insights to help support the overall digital marketing strategy and improve lead conversion
  • Balance project scope, priorities and goals with various stakeholders.
  • Manage other web software developers
  • Create processes to establish an effective foundational engineering workflow
  • Serve as CMS technical expert with a deep understanding of platform functionality

 THE SKILL SET: 

  • 10+ years of engineering experience, front end or full stack
  • Previous team lead experience
  • Knowledge of and experience implementing Agile methodologies 
  • Experience replatforming websites - from POC to Production
  • Strong experience with responsive web design, foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6) 
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Node, and Git
  • Understanding of functional and reactive programming paradigms
  • Experience and familiarity with React and React-Based Frameworks
  • Ability to effectively collaborate across teams, including Brand, and Web Production 
  • Experience working on high performing digital teams, managing technical roadmaps and planning. 
  • Experience creating reusable, responsive components and owning a content management system and from a technical perspective  
  • Writes extensible, scalable code to support everything from minor site updates, bug fixes, and new landing pages to replatforming and multi language sites 
  • Experience on multi-language sites and translations 

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesoft’s New Hire Orientation, where you will learn our SalesLoft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Attend an Engineering Department orientation
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, 

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Review your 30-60-90 day plan
  • Begin 1:1’s with your team members
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Take on the responsibility of at least one delivery team
  • Continue to focus on your OKRs

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
