Job Summary:

As the CDP & Digital Audience Specialist you’ll be at the center of our CDP and personalization initiative helping to deliver experiences for our customers and prospects that are highly personalized and relevant. You will be our subject matter expert on our customer data platform (Segment.io), managing and implementing our personas, segments, data and integrations. You’ll partner with a variety of departments including IT, BI, Marketing, Analytics, and others to ensure we have reliable, actionable data to deliver personalized experiences across a variety of digital touchpoints. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create segments, personas, audiences inside of Segment.io and ensure that they are passing down to various activation channels such as Acquia Personalization & Marketo
  • Quantify and validate audience/segment size is accurate and actionable across systems
  • Write advanced SQL queries to pull data from a variety of sources and create actionable personas/segments
  • QA data to ensure that it is reliable and actionable across systems
  • Assist in managing data governance and oversight
  • Work with stakeholders across a variety of departments to drive a data strategy, data roadmap, and gather requirements to further our personalization and reporting efforts
  • Coordinate with a variety of BI and Analytics teams to report on the effectiveness of personalization campaigns
  • Provide support to stakeholders throughout the organization who are utilizing CDP to drive personalization within their channels
  • Support the integrations and connections of various data sources and activation channels via API’s, webhooks, JavaScript and other means
  • Help establish and maintain an accurate unified profile for our customers and prospects - ensure UUID’s and other connections are in place and reliable.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience writing Advanced SQL queries
  • Proven ability to extract and manipulate data
  • Motivated, self-starter who is curious and actively seeks out answers to the unknown 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross functionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Analytically minded, leverages data to drive decision-making
  • Demonstrates UserTesting’s values through work product and within day to day team interactions

Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of Customer Data Platform (CDP) Experience (Segment CDP preferred)
  • 1+ experience with tag management - strong understanding of analytics and tagging systems
  • Strong working knowledge and/or experience with CDP adjacent technologies such as CRM, Data warehouses, Marketing automation systems, ETL, and other data/BI tools.
  • Advanced microsoft excel experience
  • Preferred: 
    • Experience with API’s, webhooks, and JavaScript
    • Experience working in a Startup environment
    • Experience working in a fast-growing B2B company
    • Bachelor’s degree or Higher in Business, Marketing, Technology or related field

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
