1. Programming/debugging phone screen 2. On-site with your own laptop/setup and full access to internet. Interviews include systems design, 45 min practical coding question, integrating an API exercise, debugging, and talking with hiring manager about team alignment.

About the team
Stripe Issuing enables platforms to launch & deliver successful card programs and financial features into their product in a short period of time using powerful programmatic APIs. The team delivers the infrastructure, user facing features, APIs, banking & network integrations needed to create and manage cards, enable money movement, and drive spend. This is a great opportunity to help build one of Stripe’s fastest growing businesses. Our top users span fintechs to large enterprises & cover a range of verticals including Buy Now Pay Later, vertical SaaS platforms, on-demand marketplaces, expense management platforms, fleet, travel & more.
What you’ll do
This opportunity requires a leader with experience building and managing a team of product managers.
Responsibilities
- Deeply understand customer needs by spending time with customers, sales, and support
- Define the product strategy and roadmap for Stripe Issuing
- Own decisions directly impacting the topline growth of Stripe’s card issuance business
- Pitch senior leadership from strategic customers/prospects on the narrative for our issuing roadmap to win and grow their business on Stripe
- Hire and grow a team of product managers responsible for defining the future of issuing on Stripe
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- Product experience: You have 13-15+ years of product experience.
- Leadership: You have a demonstrated track record of scaling and developing product management teams, while overseeing the work of large groups of engineers.
- Technical expertise: You’ve led technical products or large-scale platforms, and are equally excited about 99.9999% reliability as well as beautiful API design
- Fast pace: You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced environment, deals well with ambiguity and focuses on driving impact
- Customer-facing experience: You’ve driven customer engagements and navigated executive-level reviews of roadmap plans as a product leader.
- Analytical horsepower: You have a demonstrated aptitude for digging deep into the data, thinking from first principles, and delivering the best results.
- Crisp communication skills: High attention to detail including precise and effective communications, including with external customers/partners
Preferred qualifications
- APIs, SaaS products experience
- Software engineering experience
- Payments, banking or card issuance experience
