Software Engineer - Media Playback, Mozilla Corporation, Portland, Oregon: Implement features and maintain aspects of internet web standards related to media playback and web conferencing, including video and audio HyperText Markup Language (HTML) elements and their associated JavaScript based application programming interface (API) interfaces. Implement video and audio related features revolving around input processing, management and mixing.
Bachelors in Computer Science required.
Must also have three years of:
- Hands-on experience in developing features in desktop and mobile-based internet browsers;
- Hands-on experience in working with media-related technology including
- Audio and video encoding/decoding standards,
- HTML-related technologies associated with media hosting and playback, and
- JavaScript API maintenance and development; and
- Experience working with Gecko-based browser core libraries.
Experience may be gained concurrently.
Position may be eligible for telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.
