That said, we’ve got much bigger aspirations for our platform, and we could use your help to grow into our vision. We like that you’ve got a breadth of knowledge and are looking for new exciting challenges.

We are looking for a brilliant senior engineer to support the needs of our back-end, distributed systems. We use Node.JS on the backend and are looking for someone open to doing things across the whole stack. As our lead Node.js engineer, you will be responsible for driving The League App forward in quality, features, and scalability. As an experienced engineer, you will set the quality bar and be relied upon to deliver an app experience in a league of it's own.

This is a remote position. We will consider candidates across the US.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Develop and maintain the Node.js backend for our iOS and Android app.
  • Build new features, bug fixes, and suggest projects that will improve product and infrastructure.
  • Make technical and product decisions based on the roadmap.
  • Interview and mentor incoming engineers.
  • Code review PRs to ensure engineers are following best practices.

  • You have at least four years of experience in software/computer engineering with 2+ years experience in Node.js.
  • You are experienced in collaborating with other engineers to create apps with significant design and back-end engineering aspects.
  • You have experience with AWS, basic devops, and scaling infrastructure to support increases in user base.
  • You are experienced in SQL

    The salary range for this position is $145,000 - $191,500.  Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in California or New York City. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
