About the Role
We’re currently seeking a full-time Copy Manager to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced, Commerce-focused copy lead who loves to find exactly the right word for the right asset.

Reporting Structure
Reporting to the VP, Creative, this position will be responsible for leading and inspiring our talented copy team while developing strong cross-functional relationships with Design, Content, Commerce, and Marketing.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all platforms and touchpoints.
  • Lead the copy department, overseeing staffing, assignments, freelancers and process. Ensure all assets help support the goals of our partner teams in marketing, commerce, and content.
  • Nurture a department that’s best-in-class at marketing content, branding, and e-commerce copywriting including maintaining SEO standards, email best practices (inclusive of creating segment-specific copy) and print mailer expertise.
  • Partner with design to create compelling creative concepts with strong storytelling viewpoints and achieve marketing KPIs.
  • Oversee conception and execution for cross-channel brand initiatives in conjunction with Marketing and Creative.
  • Ensure the Food52 core brand voice remains strong but always evolving, with an eye toward growth, representation, and accessibility to make this a welcoming, inclusive place for home cooks and homebodies of all backgrounds.
  • Requirements
  • Ecommerce and SEO experience
  • Experience running a high volume inhouse copy team
  • Network of copy freelancers
  • Ability to influence up and across in matrixed organizations
  • Strong point of view on copy and brand best practices while championing collaboration and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize multiple high-priority tasks, manage your day-to-day schedule, and hit deadlines consistently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compensation & Benefits
    For residents of CT, NJ or NY the compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000. Factors used to determine the salary range for a given position may impact what salary within the stated range may be offered to any particular candidate (e.g., years of experience, level of education obtained, etc.).
