We’re searching for a Summer 2023 Embedded Engineering Intern.
Lidar Software is responsible for all embedded development of Aurora’s FirstLight lidar program. Aurora’s internally developed frequency-modulated, continuous-wave (FMCW) lidar technology helps our perception system see and track objects farther, faster, and with greater precision than equivalent sensors on the market today.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related Robotics area with a graduation date between December 2023 - May 2024
- Ability to read and develop production quality software in C++
- A passion for writing robust, intuitive, high-performance code as demonstrated through previous internships, work experience, research projects or conferences/publications
- Passion for solving challenging, impactful problems as part of a team, and a “win together” mindset
- Familiarity with software development technologies such as Git, Bazel, GDB
- Experience with FPGA(Xilinx), Embedded linux (Yocto), RTOS (FreeRTOS, ThreadX, etc.), and Python scripting
The base hourly pay rate for this internship is as follows:
$42.00 per hour for interns pursuing an undergraduate degree;
$46.00 per hour for interns pursuing a master’s degree; and
$57.00 per hour for interns pursuing a doctoral degree.
Interns must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship. Aurora does not offer J-1 visa sponsorship for interns.
