Build infrastructure that best supports the needs of a broad community of machine learning engineers, active across all business units. Design infrastructure under constraints that come with scale regarding correctness, usability, interpretability, experimentation, and maintainability. Design architectures for engineering systems with ambiguous requirements. Oversee the feasibility of projects through quick prototyping with respect to performance, quality, time and cost. Become an expert on leveraging existing state-of-the-art tooling inside the company. Leverage your experience to drive best practices in ML and data engineering. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to collaborate with cross functional agile teams of software engineers, data engineers, machine learning experts, and others in building new product features. Mentor junior team members. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $200,000 - $220,000 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience in developing platforms related to machine learning, infrastructure, or backend services. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 3 years of professional experience in developing platforms related to machine learning, infrastructure, or backend services. Must also have the following: 3 years of professional experience in big data processing and storage frameworks including Hadoop, Spark, Flink, or other related technologies; 3 years of professional experience in programming languages including Java, Scala, Python, or C++; 1 year of professional experience in Machine Learning frameworks including Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Kubeflow, MLFlow, or other related technologies.
