1. Chat with recruiter 2. Chat with one of our engineering leaders 3. Take home assignment that is not timed ( thinking about code production quality in arriving to a solution) 4. Virtual onsite (5 sessions: take home follow up discussion, architecture and design white boarding, chat with a product manager, chat about teamwork, and another meeting with hiring manager ~ about 4 hours) 5. Team matching (non-evaluative)

The Team You’ll Work With

You will be part of the Marketing Web organization. This team is the tip of the spear for new revenue generation and growing Carta’s brand presence. We have teammates across the country who love spreading the word about Carta, democratizing equity ownership, and increasing access to financial education. Members of our team have created and sold TV shows in Hollywood, been on the floor of Congress during the financial crisis, written political speeches heard by thousands, and led the rebrand of Carta from eShares.  

The Problems You’ll Solve

The Marketing Web team at Carta is in its infancy and growing quickly.  This role has the opportunity to shape how Marketing Web Engineering grows. Some of the skills that you will leverage while solving problems are below:

  • You have strong Frontend technical skills and experience architecting complex user interfaces at scales. 
  • You are excited by opportunities to both break ground on new projects and provide fresh perspective onto past implementations.
  • You want to build and own your work end-to-end.
  • You are eager to move fast, but recognize when to build for the future.
  • You understand that technology is only a piece of the puzzle, so you enjoy collaborating with others to help solve their problems. Those problems are usually lofty, complicated, and ambiguous, so your communications skills are honed and effective.
  • You are familiar with modern web frameworks (React, Svelte, Next JS, etc.) to build Frontend components and Webpack for building processes.
  • You are familiar with the Jam Stack and async data fetching data from a headless CMS.

About You

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of owning your work end-to-end, and can partner well with a remote team. 
  • You stay up to date on latest web technologies and trends 📈
    • But also know when to stick to tried and true methods
  • You have mastered all the core skills (CSS/JS/HTML) 🤓
  • You are familiar with Front End technologies like React, Svelte, Webpack 🙂
  • Headless CMS’s are your JAM 😉
  • You are familiar working with and updating legacy code 🧓

Salary

Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is: 

  •  $140,250 - $165,000 in New York, New York
  •  $140,250 - $165,000 in San Francisco, California
  •  $126,225 - $148,500 in Seattle, Washington

Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
