About the role:
Samsara is seeking an exceptional senior UI designer to join our Brand Design team. This is a highly collaborative role that will help bring to life a wide variety of e-commerce projects for both Samsara customers and employees. Our ideal candidate would be comfortable owning multiple work streams while working collaboratively with stakeholders. Creative problem solving skills and ability to execute high quality work is essential.
This role can be office-based or fully remote in the US and Canada.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to take projects from concept to completion.
- Create and maintain design systems, web pages, templates, processes to support scalability and conversion.
- Talk to customers frequently and engage in research to deeply understand their mental models, needs, workflows and business operations.
- Partner closely with Research, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to define problems, identify opportunities, and deliver improvements to existing products or introduce new ones.
- Pitch ideas that inspire, influence and shape future work while staying up-to-date with industry developments and tools.
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of experience in tech or creative agency along with a deep knowledge of creative design & collaboration tools.
- Comfortable working and collaborating in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of best practices in web design and UX.
- Strong and willing collaborator with a track record of creating effective solutions for stakeholders that also align to business goals.
- Strong systems-thinker who is able to consider challenges beyond the visual.
- Excellent communication skills and expectation setting.
- Strong attention-to-detail with the ability to quickly iterate on solutions.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Previous e-commerce design experience.
- A drive to continuously improve yourself, the team, and product experiences.
- Skilled in presentation design and presenting to high-level stakeholders.
