Why join the Marketing team? 

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Web Designer to join the Calendly Marketing team with overall design responsibility for our Marketing Website and related assets. Our ideal candidate will have experience in the full-stack UI/UX design of user-centric, conversion-oriented, and beautiful web pages and interactions. They will partner with engineering and data teams to maximize conversion rates, brand value, and public perception of our website.

This role will be a design thought partner to members of our marketing leadership team, and involved from strategy and research right through to design, QA and analysis, helping impact the success of our site with over 2 million visitors and many hundreds of thousands of sign ups and leads, each month.

What are some of the high-impact opportunities you’ll tackle? 

  • Partner with our Head of Brand and Website Strategy Leader to define our design roadmap – made up of significant content projects, conversion experimentation, directional visual design goals, and current UX challenges identified through research
  • Lead your own research (through user interviews, prototype testing, heat mapping and session recording) to understand key challenges and opportunities facing our users and visitors, and test design concepts prior to development
  • Build interaction models, workflows, screen designs, and visual details that resonate with our users, and with sufficient detail and specification for pixel-perfect development
  • Produce modern, thoughtful, and elevated designs and experiences that elevate the Calendly brand and achieve conversion goals 
  • Gather, prepare and present conceptual ideas by designing layout of art and copy arrangement, size, style and related aesthetics 
  • Design with clear ideation through typography, color, spacing, scale and outstanding use of graphic design skills
  • Design with versatility and constantly seek new and innovative ways to elevate and evolve the brand through use of graphic design and photography 
  • Articulately communicate your design intent and impact to key stakeholders and leadership with executive, marketing and web teams 
  • Build awareness of current innovation & technology trends through market research to anticipate consumer needs and wants
  • Review and present final designs, ensuring all assets meet established design standards and are ready to be consumer facing
  • Work collaboratively with internal cross-departmental teams, as well as external partners, to bring a creative vision to life while meeting business goals and objectives

This opportunity is for you if you have/are:

  • A minimum of 5 years designing and delivering market-leading websites and/or digital products in modern tech companies
  • High level experience working in Figma, as well as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Have designed experiences across platforms, such as web, browser extensions, native mobile, etc
  • Demonstrated experience with information architecture/hierarchy thinking, conversion rate optimization and animation/interaction design
  • Have a solid grasp of the levers that balance business goals and user needs, and how they affect the production of design solutions
  • Have a strong sense of typography, color, layout and space
  • Have an online portfolio so you can show off to us your methodical thinking, beautiful design aesthetic and exceptional taste level
  • Intermediate HTML/CSS skills so you can design in a way that considers the realities of building your work
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to plan, execute, and measure multiple analytic programs.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time within a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing organization
