We’re searching for an Integrated Lidar Engineer in Mountain View, CA.
In this role, you will
- Design, prototype and bring up of integrated Lidar modules and systems that are based on silicon photonics, III-V components and integrated circuits
- Develop software to support calibration and performance testing of integrated lidar modules
- Develop system-level simulations for integrated photonics chips and associated modules to define specifications, verify functionalities, and optimize performance
- Support the development of drive electronics and ASIC chips that interface with photonics
- Work with cross-functional teams to support the development of a full Lidar system
- Master / Ph.D. degree in physics, electrical, or computer engineering or relevant fields
- 3+ years of research or industrial experience with opto-electronic systems
- Fundamental understanding of electronics, optics and integrated photonics
- Fundamental understanding of signal processing and control systems
- Proficiency in Python or similar object-oriented programming languages
- Experience working with radar, lidar or other optical sensing systems
- Experience working with integrated photonics chips or systems
- Experience with frequency domain analysis/modeling and verification of system models against experiment
- Experience taking projects from concept to field testing
The base range for this position is $128,000 - $192,000. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
