BoomTown is looking for a Software Engineer who has a passion for web design and development. The Software Engineer will join a talented and tight-knit team that helps design, build, and maintain features on our CRM platform. The Software Engineer’s focus will be around using the React framework in Javascript building dynamic web applications, however they will also get to dive into our application layer built in the C#/.NET framework.

This position has the opportunity for remote work (or in-office in our Charleston HQ if preferred), however, you must reside in one of the following states to be considered: Arizona, Florida, Georgia,
Maine, Minnesota, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Maryland.
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely within a cross-functional Agile development team to build and improve products and features for BoomTown’s software platform.
  • Write and review automated tests and contribute to multiple testing suites.
  • Understand product descriptions for new features and how they fit into the greater BoomTown system while learning how our customers use them.
  • Take initiative on assigned day-to-day tasks and keep pace with the team to get the job done while knowing when to ask for help.
  • Stays abreast of advancements, trends and future directions of the industry in the area of responsibility.
    • Required Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical training/experience
  • A deep understanding of at least one modern object-oriented programming language
  • Experience with C# or with JavaScript and React/Redux
  • Experience writing/consuming RESTful APIs
  • Ability to walk through working code examples from a repository like GitHub
    • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with at least one database technology 
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with cloud computing such as Amazon Web Services
