We’re searching for an Autonomy Engineer to join Aurora’s Motion Planning Teleassist team. The Motion Planning Teleassist team is responsible for discovering, designing, developing, and validating Teleassist capabilities for the Aurora Driver.
In this role you will:
- Take ownership of End-to-end ownership of autonomy capabilities in our Teleassist system
- Remote path planning
- Maneuver selection
- Related capabilities
- Provide detection of scenarios that require remote assistance and tools
- Provide cross-functional collaboration with core autonomy engineers, platform engineers, designers.
Required Qualifications:
- Robotics experience in motion planning, perception, prediction or underlying technologies such as simulation, graphics, etc.
- Experience building robust, testable, production-quality C++ code
- Strong and proven stakeholder management skills
- Experience owning features end-to-end as a product-focused engineer
- 2+ years of experience in a production software development environment
Desirable Qualifications
- Remote Assist / Teleassist experience.
- Autonomous Vehicles experience.
- Cross-functional experience working in mission-driven teams, working across boundaries with colleagues from many competency areas.
- Experience using Python for experimental work
- Masters or PhD in related field
The base salary range for this position is $168k-$252K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
