We’re searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to help strengthen our technical and Electrical Engineering product development experience within the team.

In this role, you will

  • Design and build the computers, peripherals, and electrical architecture on which autonomy software will run. Requires strong EE fundamentals supported by the use of CAD tools, to capture schematic designs, manage PCB layout, Power/Signal simulation/emulation, and manufacturing NPI.
  • Work cross-functionally to build, Integrate, test, and debug these electrical components on bench and in vehicles. Requires hands-on electronic lab experience and ability to leverage advanced test equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers to inform design robustness.
  • Work with Mechanical, Software, and hardware platform partner teams to deliver high quality electrical designs to manufacturing. Requires knowledge of production processes (build/test) and experience bringing a design to production.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Manufacturing partners to qualify parts and processes. 

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires a bachelor's or master's degree with a focus in electrical or computer engineering. Preference is given to those who have broad experience spanning several disciplines in the robotics domain (electrical, mechanical, and software).
  • Proficiency in Signal and Power Integrity Design and Analysis, high speed signaling, grounding.
  • Proficiency with design for EMI/EMC theory and practices.
  • Applicants with a master's degree should have 5+ years of applicable professional experience with direct responsibility of successful product deliverables.
  • Applicants with a bachelor's degree should have 8+ years of applicable professional experience with direct contribution to successful product deliverables.
  • Proven Debug and Troubleshooting skills/aptitude at the system and board level.
  • Expertise with lab instruments (Oscilloscopes, Analyzers, DMMs, Power Supplies, and E-loads).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with or applied knowledge of motor vehicle systems and bus architecture.
  • Experience with both rapid prototyping and design for manufacture.
  • Knowledge of automotive requirements, safety framework (ISO26262) and qualification processes.
  • Programming and Scripting (C++, Python or equivalent) experience.
  • Proficiency with Cadence tool suite preferred
