The Role:

The Splice Music Content Team is responsible for our catalog of over 3 million samples as well as driving the acquisition and creation of new content. Our goal is to provide our users with unprecedented access to the world’s best collaborative content (e.g. samples, presets), generate sustainable revenue and exposure for content providers (e.g. artists, labels, sound designers), and acquire music rights that will enable Splice to develop new products and business models.

As the Business Affairs Intern, you will report to and support our Business Affairs Manager in their work with external partners and in-house production team, helping to build and maintain the systems and processes that enable our growing team to scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with Finance and Accounting to ensure all vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Track third party partner renewals and key terms
  • Update and help to maintain Production tracking systems & agreement statuses
  • Assist lead label leads with the organization of their packs and releases

What we’re looking for:

  • You have a deep passion for music
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program 
  • Can commit to 20 hours a week
  • Highly organized, collaborative, self-starter with excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Has had administrative experience in the Music Industry
  • This is a Remote position with NYC tri-state area candidates preferred

For NYC, the expected salary for this position is $15 per hour. The salary for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
