In this role you will develop software solutions for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and networking automation used by all of Tinder engineering. Our platform handles billions of events a day, terabytes of data, and millions of network requests with frequent code deployments. Our goal is to automate our increasingly high-scale infrastructure, increase development velocity and manage a platform that handles millions of requests per second.
What you'll do:
  • Work on a greenfield project implementing complex CI/CD flows that affect the entire engineering organization.
  • Build large-scale systems from the ground up that drive high impact in the company.
  • Gain large scale production-level experience in the following technologies: Kubernetes, Envoy, and more.
  • Tackle fun and sophisticated problems around microservice architectures and cloud infrastructure.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
  • Receive mentoring in software design and system design.
    • What you'll need:
  • 3+ years of software development experience 
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud providers
  • Experience with distributed systems 
  • Strong communication skills and a passion to assist in driving projects from start to finish 
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Go
  • Excellent knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
    • Nice to have:
  • Docker experience
  • Kubernetes, Envoy, or service-mesh experience
  • Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible, IaC experience
  • Experience managing a CI/CD platform (Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc.) 
  • Experience with cloud networking (VPC, ELB, Route53/DNS, etc.) 
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or similar subject area
