We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.

In this role you will:
Develop best in class solutions for cloud-based B2B2C SaaS
Collaborate with development, product, and customer teams to engineer solutions to bugs and identify areas for improvement for our product platform
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
Test, document, and deploy code in collaboration with the team
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved

Key Skills and Attributes

Required
3+ years of software testing experience with solid knowledge of Ruby/Rails and NodeJs
You will be working closely within a fast-paced team—so excellent communication + collaboration skills are a must.
Experience with automation testing platforms
Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
Experience testing RESTful web services
Experience debugging complex problems
Experience with system testing, Integration testing, Functional testing, backend testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing with different testing tools.
Has hands-on experience using source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies
Has experience with a variety of open-source databases (MySQL, Postgres, Redis, Cassandra, etc.)

Preferred
Experience working with B2B2C SaaS, CRM, or other cloud-based software is a plus.
Experience working with Twilio modules is a plus.
Experience with containers, such as Docker or Kubernetes
Understands the idea behind Chaos Engineering, even if you haven't yet implemented it yourself

It's not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas - we're looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.
