TuneIn Inc. seeks a DB Engineer, Platform in its San Francisco, California location.

Audit and revise existing Database (DB) migration process with a focus on reaching zero downtime CI/CD(Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery). Generate and keep track of ERDs (Entity Relationships Diagrams and schema definitions and participate in the ongoing architecture and design evolution with the rest of the team Guide application developers toward best practices in terms of querying the databases and reducing the presence of business logic in stored procedures. Analyze systems performance and recommend actions allowing more efficient and less costly use of managed resources. Consult developers on greenfield projects on recommended DB solutions and data topologies. Work with Data Engineering team to build TuneIn’s overall data collection and analytics architecture. Implement practices of minimizing access permissions and sensitive data footprint. Telecommuting is permitted up to two days per week.

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience as a Software Engineer, Database Engineer, or closely related role.

Employer requires 3 years of experience with each of the following skills:

SQL Query writing and optimization

Database Schema Architecture

CI/CD (Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery)

Cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services

Integration with Analytics and Data Science pipeline
