Articulate is looking for a Software Engineer to join our amazing team. We’re a team of makers. We believe the job of a development team is more than just writing code. We are here to create experiences that delight our customers—that is always our top priority.
We’re a fully distributed company with a high degree of autonomy and no office space. At Articulate, you’ll work closely with an awesome team of software engineers, QA engineers, and product designers to build industry-leading products and solve interesting problems.
Our team owns all the desktop applications within Articulate 360. Our flagship application, Storyline 360, is a Windows desktop application written primarily in C#. Our course player is a cutting-edge HTML5/JavaScript web application. We work across both of these areas to deliver features to our customers.
Software engineers on our team have a unique opportunity to work on hard problems—the kind you won’t find an answer for on Stack Overflow. Whether it be implementing a custom memory manager to handle media-heavy projects or adding 360° image support to Storyline via a hybrid native/JavaScript solution, we don’t shy away from difficult problems that add fantastic value to our products when solved.
What you'll do
- Own and deliver complete Storyline 360 features—including design, architecture, implementation, testing, shipping, and maintenance
- Work across all of the technology stacks that make up Storyline 360
- Engage in in-depth code review with the team
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
What you should have
- Experience working professionally in C#
- Experience in or desire to learn JavaScript
- A growth mindset and a deep passion for continuous learning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
