As a Senior QA Engineer at Human API, you will act as a leader in building out test plans, isolating and troubleshooting key issues with our customer-facing application, and documenting best practices. This role is an instrumental member of our foundational QA and engineering team. 
What you'll do
  • Work with product managers and developers and come up with a proper test plan, test scenarios, and estimates for test execution and production deployment. 
  • Execute test cases, report bugs, and monitor/track the entire bug life cycle. 
  • Know our product inside and out to serve as a senior technical resource for the whole QA team.
  • Evaluate the code base with our developers to improve test coverage across the product.
  • Document like you mean it! Test requirements, environments, and processes; they all deserve to be recorded in loving detail.
  • Report test metrics, code coverage, and your fantastic successes to management.
  • Write and maintain the scripts and test plans we need for high-coverage automated testing.
    • About you
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field of study.
  • 6+ years in a professional software QA role with 2+ years in using/building automation framework.
  • A tester's Mindset; ability to isolate and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging manual and automation testing methodologies.
  • Ability to align QA processes with agile/scrum methodology, sprint planning, and execution.
  • Experience building test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Experience with API testing.
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and microservices-based applications.
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration system - GIT, Jenkins.
  • Experience working in the Unix/Linux environment and scripting.
  • Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and desire for self-improvement.
