Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe handles hundreds of billions of dollars every year for millions of businesses around the world and it’s imperative that we keep it safe. Stripe deploys an array of machine learning models and sophisticated signals-monitoring systems to achieve this, but our final line of defense is always our expert risk analysts (effectively applied human-intelligence). Review Tools works closely with partners in product, business, operations, and other engineering teams to build tools to protect Stripe, our brand, and our users, at scale.

What you’ll do

Review Tools is rebuilding our foundation of human review systems for more flexibility and agility in human review spin up, as well as building interfaces to scale integrating with new Stripe products. We also build tools to assess and manage decision accuracy, as well as providing management controls for prioritizing and routing reviews. Our goal is to build tools for expert analysts to be able to transform unstructured workflows into structured data gathering by non-expert reviewers for rules/ML based automation. We are continuously exploring and undertaking new ideas and as an Engineering Manager you can have an outsized impact on the future of how Stripe manages risk at scale.
