We're seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our data org! This person will be responsible for helping us understand and curate our data. You will immediately contribute to the goal of using our rich datasets to make smarter business decisions. You should be ready to take ownership and be thrilled about having broad responsibilities within a fast-growing company in an extensive industry.

Location:

While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still in the process of establishing our company to support work in all states! We’ve recently made the shift from an in-office organization to a hybrid model and love the flexibility it allows our employees. We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two. Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure data is modeled properly so that others can develop dashboards and data solutions to support key initiatives within the organization
  • Have a leadership role in the design and development of our master data models
  • Provide feedback on how to integrate additional data sets from independent sources that we can use to demonstrate our existing data
  • Work closely with other engineers, analysts, and collaborators across the company to identify data needs across the organization
  • Detail our data models and transformations to provide visibility
  • Write tests around our data sets

What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • 6+ years of professional (or comparable) data engineering experience
  • Programming experience in Python (or similar scripting languages)
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • A desire to recommend, implement and lead exceptional software engineering processes, and familiarity with common engineering process tools like Github and Gitlab
  • Technology Experience: SQL, Data Warehouses (such as Snowflake), BI platforms (such as Looker and Tableau), and ETL tools and methodologies
  • Technical expertise in crafting and crafting data models with strong attention to detail
  • Consult on project requirements, build technical design documents, then scope development work

Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:

  • Experience with Redshift, Snowflake or BigQuery
  • Experience with DBT
  • Looker experience
  • Advanced STEM degree

Benefits & Perks:

Inclusive and healthy environments are crafted intentionally. All of our employees can join and participate in (or create your own!) Employee Resource Groups. Here are some other wonderful perks of working here:

  • Competitive Compensation & Stock Option Offering
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Disability Coverages
  • HSA offering + employer contribution
  • 401k plan + employer match
  • Unlimited PTO (paid time off)+ the flexibility to enjoy it
  • Paid Parental Leave Program
  • Wellness perk ($100/month)
  • Pet Adoption Reimbursement ($300/year)
