At Airtable, our mission is to build a Connected Apps Platform. We are passionate about how our product democratizes software creation and empowers anyone to “create anything.” Unlike single-purpose apps, Airtable is a toolkit composed of intuitive building blocks that people can repurpose to create their own applications.

The Foundation pillar’s mission is to build horizontal products and services that enable better app building. We are looking for an engineering manager to lead the team responsible for our connectivity products (Sync, External Sync, Two-Way Sync (under development)). These products are a critical piece to connecting data between apps and outside of Airtable.

  • Drive the planning and execution of engineers and cross-functional partners in a safe and inclusive environment that leads to urgent impact
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a broad range of functions including engineering, product, design, and sales
  • Nurture a team of passionate and capable engineers. Partner with senior engineers to multiply their impact, and coach & grow early-career engineers
  • Bring your technical expertise to bear by partnering with engineers to architect and build products in a high-quality and sustainable way
  • Implement lightweight processes to help the team scale and be productive, while allowing for agility to accommodate the dynamic environment that we operate in.

Who you are

  • Experience leading teams building mission-critical product features and systems with a high bar for quality.
  • Experience leading both user-facing products as well as technical platform teams
  • Experience working closely with Product Managers to define products, manage tradeoffs, and drive adoption with customers.
  • Experience managing and growing mid-level, senior, and staff engineers.
  • 5+ years experience as an engineer and 2+ years as a manager, or a similar combination. Preferably experience with leading teams of frontend, full-stack, and backend engineers.
