Interview Process

1. Programming/debugging phone screen 2. On-site with your own laptop/setup and full access to internet. Interviews include systems design, 45 min practical coding question, integrating an API exercise, debugging, and talking with hiring manager about team alignment.

About the team

Stripe’s Banking and New Financial Products group (called Connections) is building new products that expand the scope of problems we tackle beyond payments and into the rest of the financial stack. Connections is building a way for individuals and businesses (i.e account holders) to seamlessly share their financial data with Stripe and our merchants to receive a better product experience. Right now this includes Capital, Issuing, Atlas, Corporate Cards, Treasury - and there’s more on the way. We have an ambitious end goal to allow global businesses to run their entire financial life cycle on Stripe, and we want you to be part of our story.

What You'll Do


  • Manage an excellent team of engineers, helping to develop their careers with stretch projects and excellent feedback
  • Provide both technical and product leadership, empowering your team to ensure high quality in both areas
  • Work with engineers, product managers, and designers across the company to establish product synergies and launch great consumer products at scale
  • Recruit a diverse team of engineers that are amongst the best in the industry, from outreaches through to the closing process

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Have managed an Engineering team for 3+ years
  • Have experience building consumer products, are able to work with and through product managers and designers, and can put yourself in the shoes of your users to craft great experiences
  • Have demonstrated a track record of building high-quality products and managing high-performing teams
  • Thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, driving impact across many different teams
  • Have strong recruiting skills, with a track record of hiring new team members who are extremely effective over the long term
  • Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise
