Doximity is transforming the healthcare industry. Join our mission to help every physician be more productive and provide better care for their patients. As medicine's largest network in the United States, there's an elevated level of responsibility in everything we do. We don't take that responsibility lightly and are committed to building diverse teams with an inclusive culture that can make a direct impact on the healthcare system.

One of Doximity's core values is stretching ourselves. Even if you don't check off all the boxes below we encourage you to apply. Doximity is full of exceptional people who bring their own unique experiences to work everyday and make us all better for it!

We have seven cross-functional teams of engineers under our infrastructure umbrella. You will play an integral role as an Engineering Manager by working alongside our tech leads to ensure the execution and delivery of the short and long term vision of infrastructure projects.

This position will require you to be a very technical, hands-on manager with uncompromising follow-through, attention to detail, and pragmatism. You will also be the direct manager of several other engineers, so your ability and desire to hire, train, and facilitate the growth of other engineers is paramount.

To gain the trust of the engineers that you will eventually manage, you will do individual contribution work for at least 3 months from the time of hiring

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You'll aid in the on-boarding, mentorship, growth, and ongoing efficacy of the members of the infrastructure group.
  • You'll collaborate with a team of engineers to drive infrastructure projects from beginning-to-end
  • You'll be included in decision-making and will weigh in on balancing factors like scope, complexity, and timing

What we’re looking for:

  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You are an engineer at heart turned hands-on manager, able to lead software engineers by example
  • You have managed small teams before, and you are passionate about their well-being, and optimizing software engineering models
  • You are excited at the challenge of recruiting, on-boarding, training and managing software engineers
  • You have a disciplined approach to development: you consistently write unit tests, document your code, and follow team processes
  • You have worked with Product teams on delivering production level software loved by a large audience
  • You are knowledgeable on the AWS platform, with previous experiences working with Ruby, Python, or Golang
