2024 New Grad and Intern Opportunities

Our internship program creates an environment that encourages growth, welcomes new perspectives, and offers a space for innovative thinking. We provide interns with an experience that offers a glimpse into the life of a full-time Nerd at NerdWallet. Interns, known as Nerdlings, are fully supported by a manager and a project mentor. By the end of your internship, you will have built something that aligns with our organization’s goals and contributes to NerdWallet’s mission. 

We offer internships across our business for prospective interns and New Grads.

• 🧠 Learning and Development: We offer our interns a dynamic learning experience by providing weekly deep dives into various teams and conducting workshops that enhance their soft skills during their time at NerdWallet.  

If you were here 6 months ago, here are some things you might have worked on: 

Ways to improve our user experience by: 

• Ensuring users stay on NerdWallet’s pages with the creation of sticky banners that pop up as users scroll through articles. 
• Refactoring our “Side by Side Compare component” with GraphQL and streamlining the retrieval of the necessary information. 
• Participating in the Best of Awards campaign's pitch, branding, digital, and web design. 
• Practicing an audience-first editing approach while keeping SEO in mind when editing copy. 

Ways to improve our Nerds experience by: 

• Creating a dashboard on Snowflake to monitor and display live data of the running Airflow Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAG) and tasks.
• Speeding up redirects happening on Nerdwallet.com by issuing them closer to our users through Cloudflare’s distributed technology.
• Creating design themes for all our employee experiences for 2023.
• Building a model for forecasting registration to improve efficiency and spot trends. 
• Improving models of NerdWallet's saturation curve within the market to correctly forecast future trends and make informed business decisions.
