Checkr is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our User Management team. This team is responsible for the authentication and authorization of users in all of Checkr’s services, from dashboards and APIs to internal services and service communication. We are seeking someone who has a strong technical background and is passionate about driving new features from inception through implementation and release. This person would help our team design and implement features like Role-Based Access Control, Custom Roles, Restriction by Segmentation, Long-Lived Identity, SSO, and Third-Party Identity Provider Integrations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external team members 
  • Guide and mentor less experienced colleagues
  • Build and maintain backend systems related to user/candidate identity and access, user settings and preferences, and general access management
  • Test and deploy what your team creates and support it in Production
  • While this is not a full-stack or front-end role and expertise is not expected, some amount of front-end familiarity will be helpful.

 

What you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Advanced Ruby (preferred), Go, Python, PHP, and/or Java experience
  • A fundamental understanding of Git and version control
  • Experience writing several types of tests (Unit, Functional, Integration, E2E, etc.)
  • Experience and a desire to both learn from and mentor or guide other engineers

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $152,150-$174,973.
